Owner Operated, Which Is Why the Phone Gets Answered
Rig Doctor is Chance Pint, an owner operator running mobile truck, trailer, RV and farm equipment repair out of Waterloo, and he is the one who answers the phone at two in the morning.

The name is a joke that turned out to be a promise. You bring the Doc a problem, he prescribes the remedy. That is on the truck, it is in the reviews and it is roughly how the business runs.
What is unusual here is not the tooling. It is that the person who quotes the job is the person who drives to it and the person who does it. There is no dispatcher taking a message, no branch office and no referral fee for handing your breakdown to somebody else. Several reviews say the same thing in different words, which is that Rig Doctor was the only number that answered.
The work covers semis and trailers first, then reefers, buses and coaches, RVs, farm equipment and the odd stuck lift gate at half past eleven at night. Black Hawk County is farm country and a freight crossroads at the same time, so the truck carries air and electrical parts next to hydraulic fittings and a selection of commercial tires.
The reputation was built one call at a time out of I 380, US 20 and US 218. It includes a run ninety miles out to an entertainer coach at three in the morning after four closer shops let the phone ring, and a lift gate fixed with a part off the owner’s own snowplow because that was what would get the gate down that night.
How We Charge
Said Out Loud, Before the Truck Rolls
Price agreed before the wrench turns
You hear the callout, the labor and the travel before anyone is dispatched. Nothing starts until you say go.
A two hour labor minimum
A roadside call ties up a truck, a tech and a load of tooling. Two hours is the floor on any call, the same as most heavy duty mobile outfits.
Travel billed post to post
The clock runs from the shop to your rig and back. It is one number, quoted up front, not a surprise line on the invoice.
After hours is a real rate, not a penalty
Nights, weekends and holidays carry a callout. We tell you what it is on the phone so you can weigh it against sitting until Monday.
