  Every trade has a job nobody wants at two in the morning, and in heavy
  duty repair that job is the only one that matters. A truck stopped on a
  shoulder is not a mechanical problem, it is a clock. Hours of service
  burn. The receiver moves the appointment. The reefer runs down. The
  driver sits in a cab in the dark doing arithmetic about how much this
  is going to cost before anybody has touched a wrench.

  What we found in this client's reviews, over and over, was not a boast
  about tooling. It was a sentence about the phone being answered. First
  one within twenty five miles did not answer. Then fifty. Then seventy
  five. The one that answered was ninety miles away and came anyway.

  So that is what this site was built around. Not a gallery, not a slogan
  and not a wall of stock photography of trucks that belong to somebody
  else. Every photograph here is his. The reviews are printed exactly as
  they were typed, including the angry ones, because a rating that has
  been filtered is not a rating. The exits and mile markers are real and
  checked, because a driver reading his location down a phone at 3am is
  the single thing that shortens a response, and a page that got an exit
  number wrong would be worse than no page at all.

  A website for a roadside business has one job. Be findable at the worst
  hour, in the worst weather, by somebody who is not browsing. Everything
  else on it is decoration.
